One of the brands distributed by Common Sense Industries, Inc. is Common Sense Cases, a line of carrying cases for cameras, firearms, and other industrial equipment.

I created this handy shipping calculator which enabled our inside sales reps to quickly quote shipping rates for a standard-size pallet (40 x 48 in.) to over 20 different cities across the western US. The calculator allows the user to select a city from a drop-down menu and input the desired quantities of each product. It will then calculate the number of pallets required to ship the selected goods, estimate the total weight of the shipment, and provide a rough shipping estimate.

The calculator is programmed to display instructive error messages when the selected inputs exceed the calculator’s parameters.

I utilized conditional formatting, VLOOKUPs, data validation, protected sheets/cells, hidden sheets, nested formulas, and concatenation to complete this project.
